Inspired again!

Inspired by Adrian Johnsons work below.

Adrian Johson Illustration

You may recognize Adrian Johnsons work from the Robinsons fruit juice adverts, I adore his work, its simple style and pastel complimenting colours, bewlow is a selection of his work and a few of the adverts he created for Robinsons

Tank girl inspired.

Inspired by the Tank Girl series, I created the few sketchy illustrations below, turning the idea of Girlzilla into more of a bold character than a timid cutesy little girl.

Tank girl

Created by Jamie Hewlitt, Tank Girl is a popular comic based in a post-apocalyptic world, Tank Girl herself has become a style icon and feminist legend, Hewlitt, also created the computer generated band The Gorillaz, I love the trashy and bold animation style

Inspired by Power Puff Girls!

I decided to get onto illustrator and create a few visuals inspired by the stylistics of The Power Puff girls, I'm really pleased how these came out and it's definately something to consider for the final outcomes.

Inspiration!

I love the stylistics of the Powerpuff girls animations, Genndy Tartakovsky the creator also created the series Dexters Laboratory.

This type of style is a style I'd quite like to try out for my ideas, its simple, bold colour, adorable and almost retro.

Jennifer Leonard Illustration

One of my favourite illustrators ever, just so quirky and cute, her work is fresh and different, it's good to know she's a graduate too making her mark and inspiring other students like myself.

Godzilla Ideas

I've been designing ideas for Godzilla, but I wanted to do something a bit different rather than just going for the obvious choice of Godzilla himself, so being a tall girl myself and often given myself the name Girlzilla ( due to my dislike to my size) I decide to play around with the idea of a character named Girlzilla, too tall to be accepted into society.

Artshole

While scouring Art hosting website Artshole, I came across artist Fiona Wylie whose delicate and sexy illustrations have been used for lingerie company Agent Provocateur, I like her use of minimal colour and delicate line art.

Cupcake 3d ideas!

3D Object Task

Our next task in our studio based time, was to find an image of a 2d object, in this case I chose a cupcake, we then had to  create it using card/coloured paper to make the object 3d, below is my original image, I'll update next with my progress of this.

Image Swap Task

More burlesque Pin-up Artwork.

These were designed for my own Burlesque troupe to promote our act on our website.

Ideas for blog header.

Just a quick little post, an illustration style I've started working with, here above, a small image I created as a heading for my design practice blog, I thought since all my blogs have 'wolves' in the  title, I decide to create a little wolf girl for my blog image.

Final Eye Chart

Below is the final eye chart made up of the Deer image I selected.

Eyechart cont.

We we asked to create an eye chart using an series of images we'd created using different materials using different mediums to broaden our approach to using different techniques when creating line work.

Below is the image I chose to continue working with to create an eye-chart.

These are the other drawings created in the session of a ornamental deer I brought in to use as my object for this using different materials to create different markings.

Eye Charts

One of our studio based tasks was to research eye-charts for an oncoming session, these were some of the ones I found on the internet, the first two are genuine charts while the last is a humorous attempt at hiding a popular internet slogan as the lettering, a good way of challenging our perception of letter forms as image.

More Godzillaa

More godzilla imagery, this time a collection of images (quite cheesey ones at that) based on illustration and computer generated imagery of Godzilla.

Godzilla!

For the brief of this project, (please note, the previous weekly studio assignment results will be posted asap once scanned etc) each member of the group were given a icon/person/character to research, I was given godzilla, I was quite grateful of this and found imagery easy throughout.

Belle & Boo

These beautiful vintage inspired illustrations by British Illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe are just wonderful, I love the child nostalgia of the prints.

Some a little different..

While currently completing the YCN project, I created this illustrations below, based in Illustrator and pattern, they're different to my usual style but I'm pretty happy with them, it feels accomplished to sit back and see yourself create something different that turns out reasonable successful, I wanted the images to be flirty, feminine and fashionable.

Coisa Pakka

Beautiful Portuguese store selling the cutest products ever, minimalistic in image and colour, I love it.

Catherine Colebrook

Venturing out into the something different, these fabric based illustrations by Catherine Colebrook are just adorable, I'm envious that I'm petrified of sewing machines !
